Synopsis

After a sealed box arrives in London bearing his vanished father’s handwriting, guarded junior designer Aladdin opens it to find a mummified monkey’s paw and a letter that feels more like a warning than a gift. A boozy late-night with friends turns into a “wish game,” and harmless-sounding desires start coming true with grotesque, ironic costs—fast. As the fallout spreads, Aladdin digs into the folklore and learns the paw is only a conduit to something older—a djinn called Sha’khar, “the one who listens,” that feeds on want and keeps the tab open.  With danger closing in on the people he cares about, a reclusive scholar points him to Black Hollow—a salt-ringed stone house off the map—where a séance may open the only door that leads to answers. Inside, the walls breathe, the dead crowd in, and the djinn answers—driving Aladdin toward a terrible choice that will test what he’ll sacrifice for love and what a wish is truly worth.
